The Sioux City Symphony in Iowa has announced Patrick O'Malley as their Composer of the Year for 2018. The symphony will be performing "Loneliness in a Beautiful Place" alongside works by Respighi, Debussy, and Hovhaness. O'Malley will not only participate in rehearsals, but also be present for educational and outreach events offered by the symphony during the week leading up to the concert.
