Journey LIVE: Arranging Austin Wintory’s Complete Score from “Journey” for Live Performance

An explanation of the process of creating a performance version of the complete music from the 2012 videogame Journey, synchronized to live gamers playing the full game on stage in real time. The paper focuses on my duties as the arranger for the show, discussing first the chamber orchestration, and then the logistics of synchronizing the ensemble to the gamers’ actions during a performance.
