Program Note
In the fall, winter, and spring, I see the bare trees silhouetted against the grey sky.
The branches endlessly crisscross - always changing their pattern in the wind upon the soft, calming clouds.
Beyond them is something else: A mystery. An unknowable place.
It is ancient and distant - a realm I imagine myself going to when things move too fast and loud.
When the light breaks through, I can almost see it.
